Amazon Prime Day can surely be counted as one of the best times of year to buy a TV, depending on the type of TV you're in the market for. If that's a budget-friendly QLED model or Fire TV, the retail giant's big summer sale is a can't-miss affair.

Several TV markdowns are matching the models' lowest prices on record, or are close. Amazon's own Fire TVs also currently have a 90-day free trial of Amazon Music Unlimited attached to them — a nice $11ish per month break from Spotify or Apple Music if you're currently paying for that.

TCL's Q6 TV is one of the most impressive cheap QLED TVs out there right now, so the opportunity to score the big 65-inch version for under $400 is a serious W in the chat for anyone looking to ditch their old, faded LED TV. Even as a more basic QLED, the Q6 gets bright enough to make HDR worthwhile, complemented by the noticeable boosted color accuracy from the layer of quantum dots on top of the LED screen.
