The first two of Apple's four new 2020 flagship smartphones are here.
The 6.1-inch iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro became available for purchase on Apple's online store and at retail locations on Friday.
We've covered these smartphones at length; read our review here, and our roundup of other reviews here. Both smartphones have the same-sized, 6.1-inch OLED display, Apple's new A14 Bionic chip, 5G support, fast MagSafe wireless charging, and a new, flatter design.
The biggest advantages of the Pro are the extra telephoto camera and the LIDAR scanner (the regular iPhone 12 only has the main and the ultra-wide camera on the back), slightly more premium materials, and bigger starting memory capacity (128GB vs. 64GB). And there's the price: the iPhone 12 starts at $829 (without a contract), while the iPhone 12 Pro starts at $999.
Apple's new iPad Air, launched a month ago, has also become available today, starting at $599.
SEE ALSO: Apple's iPhone 12 event in 5 minutesThe other two iPhone flagships that were announced earlier this month, the iPhone 12 mini and the iPhone 12 Pro Max, will become available for pre-order on Nov. 6, and will begin to ship on Nov. 13.
To celebrate the occasion, Apple is sharing Apple Store photos, starting with Singapore's Apple Orchard Road. Check some of them below.
Apple also shared some photos from its logistics centers, showing the new devices getting packed, prepared, and shipped to stores around the world.
Over the next day, the post will be updated with photos from other Apple Store locations around the world.
