In an unprecedented and honestly impressive move, a cheerleader in Hartford, Michigan, last week attempted to trade pot brownies for homecoming queen votes.
Unfortunately, the plan to win over high schoolers with these drug-laced treats was foiled when the police received an anonymous tip "that students were consuming marijuana-laced brownies," according to BuzzFeed News.
Now the police are investigating the incident.

According to the police, it appears as though the pot brownies were used to secure homecoming queen votes for the cheerleader who made them, but a few of the brownies in the batch were also slipped to the football team.
“We are investigating two things,” Hartford police officer Michael Prince told local news outlet WWMT. “Number one, some were put in goody bags for players. Also, they were used to obtain votes for the queen contest.”
Prince said that there were about 12 brownies in the batch, and he suspects some of them were ingested while others were flushed down the toilet.
The brownie baker in question is reported to have left the state following the commencement of these investigations, according to WWMT.
Looks like the title for homecoming queen is still up for grabs, and hopefully the other contenders for this high school honor won't resort to bribery or light drug peddling.
